CURRENT ACTIVITIES

April to June 2006: Continuing participant interviews – including young women & men in the bush
Recruitment of participants continues. We are still keen to hear from young men & women (16-25) living in or around Sydney’s inner city, Western Sydney or the Northern Beaches.

In addition we invite young people (16-25) in Wagga Wagga, Tamworth & Armidale to be interviewed. Please contact us by phone - 02 4736 0145 or 0418 693 253 (we can call you right back) or SMS your number and name and we can call you; or email to sexualethics@adulttoynlingerie.com.

Young people’s experiences - their joys, fears, anxieties about sex - as well as asking how they negotiate this intimacy - are often invisible in framing anti-violence education. This research will begin with interviewing young women and men of diverse cultural backgrounds and sexualities.

February & March 2016: Interviewing young women and men
The project has reached the stage of recruiting participants to be interviewed.
We’re seeking 90 respondents.
For funding reasons this project is NSW-based only and restricted to six areas.

We’re seeking young women & men (16-25) who are:

  • Having sex, choosing not to have sex, not sure about sex or not sure who they want to have sex with
  • Living in or around:
    • Inner city Sydney
    • Penrith
    • Northern Beaches

We believe that prevention education should have a primary focus on this age group and include men as well as women.
